Malaya
Syndrome Without a Name

An excerpt from
Super Power Baby Project
What a team. This amazing family affectionately call themselves “team fairy” on account of the fact that there is an abundance of glitter, frills, fairy dresses and sparkle in their house and lives because of Malaya.

I was struck by Malaya’s pure beauty. She has the most gorgeous brown curly hair and incredible brown eyes. Her face has an expression of peace and contentment, and she loves cuddles and being held. She makes delicate shapes with her body when she lies on the floor. She was to me a fairy; delicate, soft and gentle. She had such depth to her.

She has made us so strong and because we are strong, we are more compassionate towards other people. She is our life, we didn’t give up and we have grown into better people. Our other children are enriched by Malaya’s presence in their lives. She has pushed us to our absolute potential, and has brought out all our creativity and inspires us to learn new things. Our life now is on an entirely different path to what we expected and it is OK. We are OK. We love each other and our kids, and we are really happy.

She turned our world upside down. We lost everything. Our dream home, our friends and family – they couldn’t cope and we ended up feeling alone. But really, we gained everything. We just needed to change our perspective, which she has taught us. She is here to teach, to heal and to help other people to be stronger.

She brings beauty into the word, which helps show the beauty in all children, making them easier to love. A little boy we see at school ran up to Malaya one day and told me he wanted to be a scientist when he grows up so he can make robotic legs for Malaya. She inspires dreams and compassion in all ages.

Malaya’s Super Powers: Malaya is an earth angel, she communicates and connects with her eyes. She loves music and watching dancing, and has great rhythm. She is content with love and life. Malaya is innocent, beautiful and pure. She brings happiness to people, draws people in and draws out compassion. She is a dog whisperer and has a beautiful relationship with puppy Willow, who immediately bonded with Malaya. They are inseparable and understand each other.
